Canadian Folk Musician Valdy played the small town of Thessalon and 130 people from all over the region came out to hear and see him play.
After 14 albums, 22 singles, four Gold records, two Juno Awards, and seven Juno Nominations for Country Male Vocalist and Folksinger, and 38 years of touring, Valdy still has a wonderful Canadian following.
And why not?
For four decades, he has been a legendary songwriter, singer and guitarist in Canada.
And his talent as a troubadour continues to grow.
The Winnipeg Free Press wrote: “Valdy elicited a genuinely warm standing ovation, the real kind, where the applause continues long after the encore is assured.”
In mid November, Valdy will be touring Northern Ontario, playing four shows on the back roads of Northern Ontario, on his way to a couple of concerts in the Ottawa Valley.
