The Canadian Cancer Society invites the community to attend our 80s Family Video Dance Party fundraiser for Relay For Life. The dance takes place from 5 until 8 p.m. at The Machine Shop on Saturday, May 4. Admission is by minimum $5 donation at the door.

This exciting event includes fun for the entire family! Enjoy free hotdogs and chips (first come, first served) sponsored by Pino’s Get Fresh, Metro, and NG Cash and Carry! Dance the night away with the very best 80s music videos before taking a nostalgic 80s photo at our green screen station. Children can express their artistic side on our glow paint graffiti wall, as well as at our colouring station. Join Soo Dan Hap-Ki-Do Cornacchio’s Martial Arts Centre for lessons and demonstrations.

Meet with your favourite 80s Disney princess Ariel or visit with the Balloon Man between 6 and 7 p.m.! Don’t forget to have your face painted by Taylor’s Fancy Faces or have your hair crimped and teased by the Sault College hairstyling program! We encourage attendees to dress in theme.

All proceeds from the event will support Relay For Life, where funds are changing lives for the better. Thanks to the generosity of Canadians, the Canadian Cancer Society funds research on more than 100 types of cancer, offers programs and services that help people with cancer, and advocates to governments on important cancer-related issues.

CCS also supports clinical trials at the Algoma District Cancer Program at Sault Area Hospital. For general inquiries please contact Alyssa Garofalo Lake at [email protected]
