Soo Fighters Halloween Bash

The Soo Fighters return for the annual Halloween Bash at the Rockk Starr Barr from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. New songs, members and more. They'll share the stage with tributes to Volbeat and Me First and the Gimme Gimmes so don't miss this.

2019 Northern Ontario Country Music Awards Weekend

Friday Night - Great Northern Opry Show and Dance at 9 p.m.
Saturday - Awards show at 7 p.m., followed by Great Northern Opry Show and Dance at 10 p.m.

7th Annual Holiday Gift & Craft Show

Now into our 7th year, our popular Holiday Gift & Craft Shows return to the Canadian Bushplane Heritage Centre, Nov. 2 and Nov. 3 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Nov. 9 and Nov. 10 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Many of your favourite vendors will be returning and many new ones for our Nov. 9 and Nov. 10 show. 100 vendors each day. All new vendors for the second weekend. Admission will be once again by donation in support of the Canadian Bushplane Heritage Centre. Door prize for each day and concession open for lunch and snacks. Vendors will be listed on web site www.bushplane.com

Ski Swap

Annual Cross Country Ski and Outdoor Equipment SWAP! New and used cross country ski equipment and clothing, passive recreation gear (snowshoes, packs, tents, bikes, etc.) There will also be Hiawatha Highlands 2019-20 Trail Passes and the Combined All-Season Outdoor Adventure Passes (with Waterfront Adventure Centre) on sale, an excellent selection of new equipment offered by Algoma Bicycle, ski waxing service for $20 from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. (bring clean skis or pay $10 more to have them cleaned). Please note we are unable to service wooden or 3-pin skis, a bake sale and SFN toques, buffs, and SFN St. Joseph Island Coffee Roasters coffee. Drop off of ski/outdoor equipment and bake sales items Friday, Nov. 1 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Equipment sale is by consignment with 15 per cent of the selling price on all items donated to the Soo Finnish Nordic Ski Club to support youth programs. The swap happens from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Westminster Church Hall (134 Brock Street).

Sgt. Wilsons Army Show

A tribute from the Netherlands thanking Canada for Liberation at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 25 with music from the 40's and 50's. Cost is $15/Veteran and $20 all others. On Sunday, Nov. 3, 2019 the doors open at 2 p.m. with the show at 3 p.m. Call 705-945-8721 for more info.
