Digital Creator North Photoshop Workshop

Come out and learn about photoshop skills and techniques at our Digital Creator North Space in the James L. McIntyre Centennial Library. Hiawatha Moonlight Walk

Hiawatha Starlight Fall Walk will be taking place at Hiawatha Park on Saturday, Oct. 19 with the walk to begin at 7:30 p.m. with registration to start at 6:30 p.m. Invite your family and friends out for a beautiful walk under the starlight while enjoying some delicious soup and bread. Tickets are $30 each with children 10 and under free. Be one of the first 100 people to buy a ticket and you'll get to choose your very own pottery bowl handcrafted by the local Pottery Guild. Oktoberfest Dinner and Silent Auction

An Oktoberfest Dinner and Silent Auction will be hosted by Willowgrove United Church on Saturday, Oct. 19. Traditional German Oktoberfest menu. Two sittings: 4:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Adults $20, children 12 and under $10. Free admission for the auction only. Viewing hours for the Silent Auction are Friday, Oct. 18, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday, Oct. 19 from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. For tickets and more information please call 705-254-5095.

10th Annual Soo Zombie Walk

Join for a ghoulishly good time Saturday from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m.The Soo Zombie Walk is an annual family-friendly food drive festival, bringing together hundreds residents of Sault Ste. Marie to collect canned goods for the Soup Kitchen Community Centre and celebrate Halloween. Attendants dress up in zombie costumes and enjoy pre-walk festivities including face painting, games, food and refreshments, contests, costume prizes and more before taking to the streets of downtown Sault Ste. Porketta Bingo

Enjoy tasty porketta at the Esquire Club as a fundraiser for The Ontario Finnish Resthome Association. Tickets $12 for three cards. Doors open at 2:15 p.m. and first draw begins 3 p.m. Bring your own snacks and treats. All drinks must be purchased at the Esquire Club. Eat, Drink and Have Fun!

Bone Fit™ Exercise Training Workshop

This is a rare opportunity for people in Sault Ste. Marie region to catch our Bone Fit™ workshop. Since 2010, we have trained over 1600 health and fitness professionals from physiotherapists, kinesiologists, fitness trainers to yoga teachers, PTAs and OTAs. It’s been led by Dr. Judi Laprade from the University of Toronto and Dr. Caitlin McArthur from GERAS since day one. Once you’ve passed the final quiz (70 per cent), you will be placed on the locator map which will allow the public to find someone who is knowledgeable and trained with working with clients with osteoporosis. You can promote yourself as being Bone Fit™ trained! All Basics registrants get a free t-shirt. All Clinical participants will get a free foam roller.
