Harvest Festival: The Jocelyn Recreation Committee presents a day of food, craft tables, antique machinery and cars, animals, displays, activities and demonstrations at 3670 5th Side Road, Jocelyn Township St. Joseph Island from noon to 5 p.m. Take a wagon ride to the Children's Fall Fair or visit the House of History or School House full of Island history.

Batchewana First Nation is pleased to host its annual pow wow at the Rankin pow wow grounds located at 142 Gran Street. Grand Entries are at 1 and 7 p.m. Host drum, Bear Creek will provide the opening song and head veteran, Steve Fleagle, will lead the procession followed by a rotation of head dancers.

Join the first ever Soo Band Roulette at the Rockstar Bar, 864 Queen St East, starting at 9 p.m. Registered musicians create a new band from the musician pool every hour and must perform a short set of cover tunes. Most importantly, they must come up with a unique band name. A winner is chosen via audience votes.

The Rusti iBand performs at the Water Tower Pub, 360 Great Northern Rd., starting at 9 p.m.

Obsession plays the Esquire Club, 102 Second Line West, from 9:30 p.m. to 1:30 a.m.

Morning Wood plays Rednecks, 304 Albert St. West, From 10 p.m. until close.

Soda Pony plays Loplops, 651 Queen St. East. Show time is 10 p.m.

~ MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 1, 2014 ~

The Sault Ste. Marie and District Labour Council will host it’s annual appreciation event at the Bondar Pavilion starting at 11:30 a.m. The day includes free food and refreshments, kid’s activities, face painting, the Ironworkers Motorcycle Club show and shine, and much more.
