The Sadies return to the Sault with Kinfolk in tow

Loplops Gallery-Lounge is excited to bring the Sadies back to Sault Ste Marie. The concert will take place on Saturday, April 13, 2019.

Dallas and Travis Good were born and raised in the Canadian music scene, their iconic family name a staple not only in Canada but also around the world. They have continued the family legacy, holding on to the imagination of decades worth of fans while attracting their own fan base, pushing the “alt-country” scene for over 20 years. Following in the Good Brothers footsteps not only seemed natural, but they made it seem easy.

The Good Brothers collaborated with the legends of the 70s, touring with The Grateful Dead, Jefferson Airplane and Janis Joplin and as history repeats itself for the Good family, so do the Sadies, as they collaborate with fellow stars like Neko Case, R&B legend Andre Williams, The Mekons’ Jon Langford, Jon Spencer, Robyn Hitchcock, John Doe, Buffy Sainte-Marie, Gord Downie and Neil Young.

Long before the tours, the awards (including eight straight Junos for Best Country Band) and their induction into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame, before the Good Brothers formed, it started in little folk clubs and coffee houses. Bruce and Brian Good, along with Marty Steiger and Margaret Queen (Bruce’s wife) formed a folk group called The Kinfolk. From that point on, the great Good family changed the Canadian music scene and became legendary.

This marks the fourth visit for the The Sadies with each show being sold out with waiting lists – they have been labeled one of the best live bands to watch in Canada.

You must be 19 years or older to attend. Doors open at 8 p.m. and the show will start around 9:30 p.m. Please drink responsibly and have a designated driver.
