Submissions open for songwriter retreat

MFM is taking over the Birch Lake Resort in Thessalon for a lakeside co-writing and demo recording adventure, May 24 to 27, 2018.
 
Ten Northern Ontario-based song writers will be selected to spend the weekend participating in workshops, collaborative song writing exercises and demo recording sessions with some special industry guests.
 
Apply online at cionmusic.ca before April 18 to be considered. Successful applicants will be notified by April 25.
 
All applicants MUST be based in Northern Ontario and be available to arrive Thursday evening and depart Sunday morning. Registration is free, and meals will be provided for all participants. Special guests will be announced soon!
 
This retreat is a part of the Canadian Songwriter Challenge, a national project which is sponsored Bell Media and presented by the Canadian Council for Music Industry Associations (CCMIA). Additional support is provided by the Ontario Media Development Corporation.
