Soo Zombie Walk not giving up the ghost

Sault Ste. Marie has spoken - and they want zombies!

When the 10th Annual Soo Zombie Walk was cancelled this year due to lack of funding, the Soo Zombie Walk Committee was immediately overwhelmed with responses from local businesses and citizens hoping to make the event happen.

Over the past two weeks, the outpour of support has snowballed into a special, spooky "mega" event focused on raising funds for next year's Soo Zombie Walk.

The M.S. Norgoma will open its doors to the zombies – and Halloween fans alike – for the Soo Zombie Walk BOOgie Down Fundraiser this Saturday, Oct. 20, 2018 at 3 p.m. The Soo Zombie Walk Committee and Soo York City have teamed up to provide live music, food and refreshments, face painting and fun activities including a DIY "slime" booth. Maker North will be showing off 3D printing demos while Svenny McG will be hosting a video gaming booth.

Prizes for best costumes will be held at 6:30 p.m. and is open to all attendees.

At 7 p.m., Sault Stryders will host their Halloween 2km/5km walk/run from the Norgoma down the boardwalk. Once you complete your walk or run, head back to the M.S. Norgoma for a Sault Stryder sponsored treat.

Haunted Norgoma will take over the M.S. Norgoma and kick off their season opening at 7 p.m. Their child-friendly Haunted Maze takes place from 7-8 p.m. then things get truly terrifying for adults from 8-10 p.m. The Haunted Norgoma continues every day until their final maze on Halloween night.

Whether you join us for one, two or all three events, canned goods are gratefully accepted in addition to the admission prices listed below.
