Tiny Bubbles and the Superior Skatepark Association proudly present a special fundraiser for the Sault Ste. Marie Skatepark.

The Skatepark Fundraiser is an all-ages show being held at Club Princess on Saturday, January 22, 2005 from 9:00 pm until 2:00 am and features some of the Sault's most underrated bands: Gates of Winter, Fitswitch, The Hangdowns, Fuller, The Crossed and S.L.U.

Fuller is a high-energy group that compares its sound to The Cure mixed with Bruce Springsteen (minus the E Street Band) with a dash of Pat Metheny Trio thrown in for good measure. Made up of locals Jamie Vincent, Mark Rand, and Nathan Sauvé, the band delivers a high powered live experience that is second to none.

Fitswitch is a five-piece, full-on rock outfit that have already left their scar on the local scene. Made up of a bunch of rogue musicians, they have terrorized the local scene with a stage show chock full of insanity. The band boasts that it has guitars that will make your ears bleed, vocals that will shake the ground you walk on, and a rythym section that can make more noise than a cement mixer in heat.

The Hangdowns are a self-proclaimed "full throttle punk/comedy act." They can not only get the audience singing, but they have a tendency to get them laughing with their ridiculous stage antics. Formed in early 2003 by Marc Muto (drums), Jordan Cumming (guitar/vocals) and Guy Thiffault (bass/vocals), the band's goal was to produce original music while at the same time making absolute idiots of themselves.

Gates of Winter
is a progressive metal band featuring Lee Maines, Jimmy Chiverilli, Brian Holmes, Bryan Belleau, and Steve Furgiuele. The group has been molding and taking shape as one of the city's most unique acts.

The Crossed is a 6-piece band made up of Jordan Flesher(Guitar/Vocals), Pat Chisholm (Drums), Josh Mcnally (Voice), Adam Piraino (Bass/Vocals), Nathan Bouliane (Guitar), and Daniel Iannelli (Keyboard). An alternative act with influences that range from from Moneen to GlassJAw, the band throws a lot of emotion into every song. They are on a mission to be original and avoid all of the popular trends.

Last, but not least, is S.L.U. a local acoustic act featuring Steph Sears, Shannon Burditt, Adrienne Boucin, and Jamie Brideau.

There is a $10 cover charge for the event, with all proceeds going to the Skatepark. The show promises to be one of the best line-ups of up-and-coming bands the Sault has seen in a while. Come out and show your support!

Club Princess is located at 163 Gore Street.
