Popular children's act bid Canada farewell after 40 years

Throngs of children, parents and grandparents packed the Sault Community Theatre Centre for popular children's entertainers Sharon and Bram during the Algoma Fall Festival Saturday morning.

The duo is currently embarking on its farewell tour after performing together for 40 years.

Sharon Hampson and Bram Morrison performed as two-thirds of the trio Sharon, Lois and Bram from 1978 up until 2000, when Lois Lillenstein stepped away from performing live.

The duo had people of all ages getting out of their seats and dancing in the aisles for well-known favourites such as She’ll Be Coming ‘Round the Mountain, Five Little Monkeys, One Elephant, and Skinnamarink.

Sharon, Lois and Bram were invested into the Order of Canada in 2003.

The Algoma Fall Festival continues throughout the month with upcoming performances from Fortunate Ones, Soulpepper Theatre, Ashley MacIsaac and more. For a complete schedule of events and ticket information, please click here.
