ST. JOSEPH ISLAND - Today, Go North Music Festival, held on beautiful St. Joseph Island, is thrilled to announce the lineup for the second annual festival set for Saturday, July 14, 2018. The day-long family-friendly event will feature a variety of musical acts including folk rock alt-country band Elliott BROOD, indie rock group Fast Romantics, alternative folk band Shred Kelly, rock group Jackpine, blues and country group Andrew Parkhouse Band, Americana roots duo Harrow Fair, singer-songwriter Ambre McLean, local youth band CASS FM, and kicking off the campfire stage Andy Chillman.

"We're really excited about this year's lineup," shares festival organizer Jody Wildman. "We want Go North to be a memorable experience, and that all starts with great music."

Tickets for the festival go on sale today. Admission for kids 12 and under will be free again, and this year there will be a new youth ticket price for 13- to 18-year-olds. Be sure to pick up your ticket now here.

This full-day music festival will offer an afternoon and evening of new music, local artisans, local craft beer, delicious food, and overnight camping in a relaxed outdoor venue unlike anything else in the area.

Of the festival, Wildman says, "Not only do we have a great lineup on the main stage, but we will have live music in the kids' zone and an after-hours set on the campground stage which will lead into performances and sing-alongs, we hope, from campers themselves."

Tickets will be available online today and at local vendors on March 19; Case’s Music, The Rad Zone, 17 East Trading Post, and The Township of St. Joseph Municipal Office. Stay tuned for more details.

The Richards Landing Centennial Grounds is the perfect location for an outdoor festival with its beautiful timber-frame Go North stage; food, beverage and concession booths; and plenty of room for on-site parking and camping. Returning this year will be the popular Go North Marketplace providing an opportunity for local artisans to feature their works. Any vendors, producers, supporters, and sponsors should contact the Township of St. Joseph if they would like to get involved.
