NEWS RELEASE
SAULT THEATRE WORKSHOP
*************************
Sault Theatre Workshop (STW) is proudly showing the 1978 Pulitzer Prize for Drama The Gin Game by D.L. Coburn.

The play is about Weller Martin and Fonsia Dorsey who meet on the porch of their nursing home and strike up a friendship, with Weller teaching Fonsia how to play gin rummy.

But when Fonsia wins every hand, Weller becomes increasingly frustrated, until their gin games and conversations become a battleground, with each player exposing the other's failures, disappointments and insecurities.

The Gin Game is a not-to-be-missed theatrical event that examines the plight of the elderly and how each character seems trapped by the hands they have been dealt.

STW is thrilled to have George Houston directing his brother Harry Houston in a intense performance of D.L. Coburn classic.

Production dates: Oct. 24-28, 2018
Curtain: 8 p.m. (except Sundays 2 p.m. matinee only)
Tickets: $29 adult, $27 senior, $19 student,
Location: 121 Pittsburgh Ave., Sault Theatre Workshop
