In February of this year, the pop culture gurus over at Nerdist got the exclusive on an upcoming project by a former Sault Ste. Marie resident.

It seems that artist, animator, creator and director Graham Annable is working on his very first graphic novel.

You may remember Annable from such hits as Telltale Games, The Boxtrolls, or this SooToday article from September 2014 about the White Pines graduate and all his success.

As he explains on his Grickle blog, Annable's forthcoming graphic novel, Peter and Ernesto, tells the tale of "two very different sloths who are the best of friends."

"While it will be geared towards younger readers, I hope that everyone will really dig the adventures of these two!"

Although no projected release date for Peter and Ernesto has been determined, we do know the debut graphic novel will be released by First Second Books.

This is not the first time Annable has worked with the publisher, having contributed his own version of the children's classic Goldilocks and the Three Bears for its 2013 release Fairy Tale Comics.

Annable promises to post Peter and Ernesto updates and project images here as work progresses.
