Pride knows no borders as Sault Pride and MI Sault Pride team up for a cross-border collaboration.

This Saturday, June 10, a drag pageant at The Queen of Hearts Club on the Ontario side will see the crowning of the inaugural Miss/Mr/Mx Twin Sault Pride.

The show starts at 9 p.m.

Sault Pride says teaming up with its Michigan counterpart for the show makes sense as performers frequently travel between the two communities to appear in shows and participate in Pride celebrations.

“Contestants include Lucia Pet, Paris Gore, Back Door Betty, and Lana Von Archer, with the judges panel being comprised of host and drag performer Gemini Gore, Sault Pride chair and former theatre instructor Amanda Zuke, and drag performer and MI Sault Pride co-founder It’s Just Crystal,” says Sault Pride in a news release.

The pageant winner will go on to be the ambassador and special guest for several Pride events on both sides of the border.

Tickets can be found online

Next year’s show is expected to be hosted in Michigan.
