'Northern Love Event' weds caring, community for local couples

A wedding event that will showcase the newest trends, talent and creativity from the Sault’s premier wedding vendors is back this month — and will even feature a real wedding!

Organizers say "community over competition" will be evident at the Northern Love Event, where vendors work together to create elaborate tablescapes, backdrops and photo-worthy moments that will awe and inspire guests.

The Northern Love Event "truly believes collaboration is key to give couples plenty of inspiration for their wedding day," organizers said in a news release. 

The event will take place in the Taproom, Brewery, lower patio and upper patio at Northern Superior Brewing Co. 

The Taproom will host vendors both inside and on the patio, including: 

• Florals by Flowers with Flair and Tamar’s Trends 
• Event design and coordination by Tiana Lynne 
• Music by Masi Entertainment 
• Signage and stationary by Simply Curated, 
• Cakes, cupcakes and cookies by Sugar and Jeannette’s Custom Cakes 
• Photography by Alexa Fantham and Lee Anne Jarrett
• Bridal and guest attire by Ivory Lane Collective
• Photobooths by Savvy Circles and Framed Media
• Custom favours and samples by Moon + Mana, Hogan’s Homestead and But First Coffee
• Medispa and bridal esthetic services by Azure 

From tablescape and backdrop setups to samples of treats and coffee, from bridal attire and style inspiration to custom favours and photo booths, there is something for all couples to experience, organizers say.

The Brewery side of the event will feature a grooms' lounge and photo booth area with: 

• Groom and casual attire by Forty-Five Social
• Barbering and hair styling by Barbering by Jake
• Music by Jay Case
• Photobooth and backdrop design by Tiana Lynne 
• Boutonnière inspiration by Flowers with Flair and Tamar’s Trends 
• Brewery tours throughout the evening 

Petite Nuptials is hosting a wedding ceremony on-site during the event. The lucky couple won the giveaway May 15 and will wed on May 30 at the event. 

The ceremony will be hosted on the upper patio with florals by Flowers with Flair, music by Jay Case, backdrop design by Tiana Lynne, photos by Alexa Fantham, officiating by Laura Flynn, coordination and design by Petite Nuptials and more. 

The Northern Love Event takes place May 30 at Northern Superior Brewery and Taproom from 4 to 8 p.m.

Tickets are $25 and include a drink of choice during the event at either the Taproom or Brewery (this is a 19+ event).

Tickets can be purchased at Ivory Lane Collective (cash or e-transfer) or Northern Superior Brewing Co (cash only).
