New VIP pass makes 'An Evening at Hogwarts' even more magical

The popular "An Evening at Hogwarts" fundraising event returns for another year with a new VIP experience option.

"VIP ticket holders will enjoy all the benefits of Beauxbatons and Durmstrangs, honoured guests of Hogwarts for the Triwizard Tournament: a front-row table seat, beverage voucher, VIP line and entrance, and special gift," says a news release issued by the Volunteer Committee.

VIP passes will be sold as pre-sale online tickets for $165 starting at 7 p.m. on June 5. Only 32 VIP passes are available.

Another 100 regular tickets will be available for $125 for pre-sale purchase online on June 7 at 7 p.m. In-person tickets go on sale June 19 at the Machine Shop at 7 p.m.

An Evening at Hogwarts returns to Sault Ste. Marie with the Goblet of Fire! After raising over $30,000 with last year’s events, the Hogwarts Alumni Volunteer Committee is back at it in support of the Cancer Care Fund at the Sault Area Hospital Foundation this year.

The main event, An Evening at Hogwarts: Goblet of Fire will be held at the Machine Shop on Nov. 4 at 4 p.m. Participants will have an enhanced adventure this year. They will receive their very own Ollivander’s wand that can be used as they travel through Platform 9 3⁄4, attend wizarding classes, and participate in the Triwizard Tournament. They will also partake in a delicious four-course meal at the festive Yule Ball to celebrate their champions. There will be opportunities to experience the Quidditch World Cup and purchase Hogwarts-themed items in its vendor shops, as well as a Patronus Luminous to honour or remember loved ones affected by cancer. There will be surprise giveaways in their swag bag, and so much more!

New this year, there will be an exclusive pre-sale of 32 VIP tickets. VIP ticket holders will enjoy all the benefits of Beauxbatons and Durmstrangs, honoured guests of Hogwarts for the Triwizard Tournament: a front-row table seat, beverage voucher, VIP line and entrance, and special gift.

VIP tickets go on sale June 5 at 7 p.m. online only at for $165 each. Also new this year, 100 tickets will be available in an online pre-sale on June 7 at 7 p.m. for $125 each. In person tickets go on sale June 19 at the Machine Shop at 7 p.m. This unique and magical evening event often sells out within the first hour of ticket sales, so be sure to apparate and get yours!

After last year’s wild success, wizards, witches and muggles of all ages can enjoy the magic of Hogwarts in a midday event walkthrough, the Wee Wizard Tour. Join in the excitement on Nov. 4, 2023 at 11 a.m. by shopping at the Quidditch World Cup vendor shops, boarding the Hogwarts Express, participating in classes and experiencing the Triwizard Tournament. Tickets go on sale for $25 each in September.
