"The night was sultry..."

The Algoma International Film Association will be presenting "Nathalie" at Galaxy Cinemas, on Sunday, October 3rd at 7 p.m.

The Algoma International Film Association brings in what they consider to be "the newest and most significant in Canadian and International films" to Sault Ste. Marie. The association promotes the viewing and appreciation of films not usually available to the community in the commercial cinema.

Tonight's feature, "Nathalie" is a Spain/France production directed by Anne Fontaine. It is the story of a married woman who hires a young beauty to seduce her husband and bare his secrets.

Catherine (Fanny Ardant) has a successful life, a good job, and a family when she learns that her husband, Bernard (Gérard Depardieu), is cheating on her. Thoughts of the women her husband meets and the things he does with them consume her entirety.

It is then she meets Nathalie (Emmanuelle Béart), a "hostess" at a bar, and quickly hires her to seduce her husband and reveal his "true" character.

The film is in French with English subtitles.

On Tuesday, October 5th at 7 pm, the Algoma International Film Association will be showing Whale Rider at the Galaxy Cinema.
