'Moon vs Sun' shone at the Machine Shop (11 photos)

Chantal Kreviazuk and Raine Maida performed as part of the Algoma Fall Festival

A crowd of 600 gathered at the Machine Shop Friday night to take in a live performance from husband and wife duo Chantal Kreviazuk and Raine Maida.

Presented by the Algoma Fall Festival, Moon vs Sun is new territory for the pair – in the 20 years they’ve been together, this is the first time they’ve collaborated musically.

In addition to performing material from their own separate careers, Kreviazuk and Maida played new material written specifically for the project.

And their on-stage ‘old married couple’ banter was more than entertaining.

The Algoma Fall Festival will continue throughout the month with upcoming performances by Whitehorse on Oct. 14, Coig on Oct 28, and Next Generation Leahy on Oct. 29.
