MonkeyJunk brings swamp blues to the Sault

The Sault Blues Society is pleased to present Ottawa rock swamp blues band MonkeyJunk at the Bridgeview Banquet Hall (formerly the Verdi Hall), 455 Queen St. E., on Thursday, May 10.

MonkeyJunk’s most recent release, Time To Roll, won a 2018 Juno Award for Blues Album of the Year. The band won in the same category in 2012 for To Behold and was nominated in 2014. The three-piece has also won numerous Maple Blues Awards and two Canadian Independent Music Awards.

Doors open at 6 p.m. with a pasta buffet available with the purchase of a $15 dinner ticket (available at the door). Show tickets are $20 in advance, $15 for students, or $25 at the door. Tickets are currently available at Case Music, Northland Music, Rockin’ Vinyl Records, Stone’s Office Supply, Thomas Walls School of Music, and The Rad Zone.
