Join true-crime writer, Nate Hendley, who shares an amazing, heartfelt story about the largely forgotten 1956 wrongful murder conviction of current Sault Ste. Marie resident Ron Moffatt.

On Sept. 15, 1956, Ron Moffatt, 14 years old living in Toronto when he was falsely accused of murdering seven year-old Wayne Mallette who was murdered on the grounds of the Canadian National Exhibition in Toronto. The main suspect was a boy on a bicycle seen pedaling away from the CNE.

The Boy on the Bicycle is the first complete book about Ron Moffatt. It’s a story that involves a fumbled investigation, a false confession and the star lawyer who fought for Moffatt’s release.

Tickets are $10 and available at both library locations. Books will be sold for $25 each and author and Ron Moffatt will be available for autographs. Cash bar.
