Blackie and the Rodeo Kings easily charmed the Sault audience

"Canadian music royalty."

That was overheard Monday night, muttered by one of the hundreds in attendance at the Machine Shop as Blackie and the Rodeo Kings (BARK) charmed the polite audience. Tom Wilson, Colin Linden and Stephen Fearing – decked out as expected in their custom Nudie Suits – eventually charmed that polite audience out of its seat and to the front of the stage to 'share their love, inside and out' as instructed by Mr. Wilson. When his deep baritone speaks, fans listen, apparently.

BARK is currently on tour in support of its latest release, Kings and Kings. The masculine counterpart of 2011's Kings and Queens features a slew of guest appearances, including Eric Church, Nick Lowe, City and Colour, Bruce Cockburn, Keb Mo, and many others.

After Monday's performance in the Sault, BARK will hit up other northern Ontario venues, including those in Sudbury, Thunder Bay and Kenora before heading across Canada for the west coast.
