NEWS RELEASE
SAULT STE MARIE PUBLIC LIBRARY
*************************
The Sault Ste. Marie Public Library celebrates the work of local poet Gregory John Saxby. On Thursday, Feb. 15 from 7 – 8:30 p.m. at the Centennial Library, Gregory will share poetry from his newly published anthology, Sipping Tea.

His poem All the Sweet Girls was a finalist piece at the Original Works Jubilee for Teen Challenge North in 2017. Sipping Tea is a collection of poems written over many years, at the centre of which is the death of Gregory’s wife Diana. He decided to publish his writing as a memorial to the love he and his wife shared.

Gregory credits the loving care and support of the staff at ARCH with helping him see through his grief after Diana’s passing. He turned his grief and negativity into something of creative beauty.

Sipping Tea is the outcome of Gregory’s Great Bucket List Challenge. Click the link to learn more about ARCH Hospice’s Great Bucket List Challenge on our website.

Copies of Sipping Tea will be sold at the Centennial Library during the author event. One hundred per cent of the book sales at the event will be donated to ARCH Hospice. This event is free and open to the public. Please call 705-759-5236 for more information.
