The Sault Ste. Marie Museum is set to host local author Mike Sauve later this month.

On Aug. 28, Sauve will read an excerpt from his new book The Many Fentanyl Addicted Wraiths of Sault Ste. Marie and will be available for a meet-and-greet following the reading.

The book looks at some of the city's history, including discussion on figures such as F.H. Clergue, Alexander Henry, and David Pim among others.

In a prepared statement, Sauve said, "The point of this effort was to shine a light on the historical tendencies that too often people in Sault Ste. Marie prefer to ignore."

Entry to the reading as well as the meet and greet is free or by donation and begins at 2 p.m.
