Sault Community Theater Presents Little Women

For six generations Louisa May Alcott's Little Women has remained the most popular juvenile novel written by an American.

The characters of Jo, Meg, Amy, Beth, Marmee, Laurie, Professor Baer and John Brooke have lived in and gladdened the hearts of millions.

A story that will never grow old, it deals with the greatest of human emotions--a mother's love for her children and their appreciation of it, and her.

Little Women chronicles the lives of Jo and her three sisters not only surviving, but thriving through poverty, war and tribulation.

This adaptation spans the entire novel.

With themes of sisterhood, perseverance, family and togetherness, Little Women is a delightful play sure to entertain the entire family.

Adapted by John D. Ravold, Little Women is directed by seasoned Sault Community Theater veteran Theresa Zednicek, produced by Sault Community Theater President Jennifer Frost, presented by special arrangement with Samuel French, Inc. and made possible through funding from the Michigan Council for the Arts and Cultural Affairs.

The cast includes Kate Bowers as Meg, Brooke Wagner as Jo, Jessica Zednicek as Beth, Jennifer Zednicek as Amy and Peggy Burdette as Marmee.

Rounding out the cast are Kevin White, Travis White, Jason Markstrom, and J. T. Byrd.

Little Women plays the Quality Inn and Convention Center in Sault Ste. Marie January 19, 20 and 21 at 7 p.m. and January 22 at 2:30 p.m.

Tickets are $10 (general), $8 (senior), and $5 student admission and may be purchased at the door thirty minutes before curtain.

Seating is on a first-come basis.
