Local original musician, Mark Kuntsi will be playing the Steamy Bean this coming Sunday.

Show is by donation, and starts at 8 p.m.

Kuntsi is a native of Sault Ste. Marie who has played all over Canada from coast to coast for over 20 years; both as a solo performer and with a host of touring bands, including: The Greenhouse Effect, Ernie’s Coffee Shop, The Festive Eddies, Push Button Automatic, and Dobb & Dumela.

He has been described as a powerful vocalist, accomplished bassist, and solid guitarist with a wide-ranging and eclectic mix of originals and covers, Mark is at ease shifting from swing to soul to rock and the blues; through surprisingly 'straight' reads of early punk songs, and campy country takes on Led Zepplin.

"Sometimes zany, sometimes goofy, but always passionate, compelling and entertaining."-Pique Magazine

Currently in the Soo writing songs for an upcoming solo CD due out this fall, Mark can be seen playing around town fishing for musical ideas and keeping a connection with his audience.

Mark has also been involved as a bassist for the past
six years with Southern Ontario pagan pop-rockers Another 1000 Miles, whose third CD Between Wheels was released in April of 2005.

Much of Mark's recent original material can be found on their first two CDs: Another 1000 Miles and Detach. All three can be found at www.a1000m.com
