Kicking off summer with a cruise down Queen

Come one, come all! Get your cars, trucks, customs and hot rods ready, because the Queen Street Cruise Committee and its sponsors are proud to release the schedule of events for the 4th annual Queen Street Cruise taking place Friday, June 14 and Saturday, June 15, 2019 with all registration money being donated to ARCH Hospice.

The Cruise is kicking off Friday afternoon with open houses at Prouse Motors (851 Great Northern Rd.), Maitland Ford Lincoln (1124 Great Northern Rd.) and A&W (659 Great Northern Rd.). Registration begins at 3 p.m. at Prouse Motors and 4 p.m. at Maitland Ford Lincoln and A&W. CTV News Northern Ontario will be broadcasting LIVE from GFL Memorial Gardens from 5 to 7 p.m. Vehicles are encouraged to make their way to Queen Street at their leisure from the open houses. Attendance at the open houses is greatly encouraged. The public is invited to Queen Street to view the spectacle that is before them with all sorts of vehicles, old to new.

Live entertainment with both Boneyard and George Pinder and Patches returning once again to the Cruise Stages. George Pinder and Patches play at the March Street Stage (across from Reggie’s) Friday night from 6 to 9 p.m., with Boneyard rockin’ the GFL Memorial Gardens from 7 to 10 p.m.  

Food vendors available both days. Pino’s, Lil’ Orbits Mini Donuts and Johnny’s Chophouse will all be available to curb your hunger. A beer garden located in GFL Memorial Gardens parking lot will be open both days as well.

There will be overnight security located at GFL Memorial Gardens to control parking, direct traffic, provide pylons and watch any vehicles or trailers that are left at the GFL Memorial Gardens overnight for Saturday’s show.

On Saturday, June 15, registration for 4th annual Queen Street Cruise Car Show begins at 9 a.m., show starting at 10 a.m. and running until 4 p.m. Cost of registration is a $20 donation to ARCH Hospice. The $20 registration fee covers both Friday and Saturday.

Both George Pinder & Patches and Boneyard return Saturday to GFL Memorial Gardens Stage from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. respectively.
