It's Alive: A Revitalized Staggered Crossing to Hit the Sault

Despite the many changes that have occurred in the Staggered Crossing camp in the past few years, their outlook remains positive.

Formed in 1996, the band has definitely suffered the slings and arrows of a topsy-turvy music industry. Fans of the band have watched record contracts and band members come and go.

Led by band stalwarts Julian Marshall (vocals & guitar), and David Marshall (guitar), the band has recently been rebuilding the momentum it experienced in the late 90s. Having toured with the likes of Spirit of the West, Big Sugar, 54-40, Midnight Oil and Nickleback, charted Top 10 Canadian singles, the band decided it was time to take the business side of their affairs into their own hands.

They financed their own sophomore record, Last Summer When We Were Famous which was produced by ex-Wilco member Jay Bennett in 2002. The CD was critically praised so the band quickly launched a few very successful Canadian tours in support of it.

Currently in support of their latest CD, Burgandy and Blue, Staggered Crossing is taking their "new" sound, that incorporates elements of reggae, soul, eighties pop and surfer rock, to the fans in a live format.

Staggered Crossing will be performing at Foggy Notions on Saturday, October 30 as part of their Burgandy and Blue Canadian Tour.
