This year saw a record number of entries with 114 vehicles registered

The threat of showers never discouraged hundreds of classic automobile enthusiast to Hilton Beach Saturday. The weather was hot and so were the vehicles.

Whether your passion was motorcycles, hot rods, classic touring cars or vintage trucks or a modern day model there was something for everyone to see, even a 2000 hearse made an appearance which attracted much attention. 

This year saw a record number of entries with 114 vehicles registered.

Live entertainment of rock and roll from the 1950s and 1960s was provided by Flathead Ford with Scott "The Hot Rod Kid" Kennedy on vocals and guitar, Bill "The Big Bopper" Webb on bass and vocals and Jack "The Freight Train" Stubbington on drums. 

Flathead Ford will be returning to Hilton Beach Aug. 5 during the Can Am Poker Run. You can also catch them as part of the Sault Area Hospital Classic Car and Bike Show Aug. 30 in Sault Ste. Marie.

Winner for Best in Show went to Peter Schwindt of Sault Ste. Marie with a 1962 Austin Healey. Ladies Choice went to Jordan Jensen of Blind River, and the Nick Palumbo Memorial Award went to Tom Paterson also of Sault Ste. Marie. The make and year of the Jensen and Paterson vehicles were not provided.
