Hangin' on a school night with Swollen Members (24 photos)

The Vancouver-based hip hop trio played the Canadian Night Club Wednesday night

A modest but enthusiastic crowd gathered at the Canadian Night Club Wednesday evening for a Canadian hip hop showcase featuring Prevail, MadChild and Rob the Viking – known collectively as Swollen Members. The Sault Ste. Marie performance was part of an extensive province-wide tour that will also see stops in Sudbury, Belleville, Guelph, Waterloo, Windsor, London and many others.

In addition to a number of local openers, including True Northern Talent, Conika and Kodex, supporting sets were performed by Guelph’s Robbie G and Neph, Prevail’s “real life nephew.” The family pair also collaborated for a short set as Prevail’s side project, Alpha Omega.

Wednesday night’s hip hop show, presented by R-Evolution Media and 360 Entertainment, was just one of a number happening in the Sault.

360 Entertainment is pleased to host Merkules with special guests Caspian, Evil Ebenezer and Lil Windex at the Canadian Night Club on Oct. 6. Doors open for this show at 9 p.m. and you must be 19 or older to attend. More concert information can be found here.

On Monday, Oct. 22, Cabin Media and R-Evolution Media will host Classified and the Canadian Classic Tour featuring Maestro Fresh Wes and Choclair. For additional information, please click here.
