SAULT STE. MARIE, MI - Do any of the following descriptions match you and your family?

If yes, act now to have a summer filled with meaningful and significant experiences at The Soo Theatre Project!

If you have an elementary aged child who has a fascination with Cinderella or Prince Charming, The Ever After – A Musical camp at The Soo Theatre Project downtown is for you.

It begins Monday, June 23 for one week and joins with the other The Ever After – A Musical camp, which encompasses older students, for two culminating performances Friday, June 27 at 7 pm. .and Saturday, June 28 at 2 p.m.

The younger actors will learn from the more experienced actors in a comfortable environment!

If you have a child who is always twirling around, jumping off beds gracefully, and prancing elegantly, your child will enjoy The Soo Theatre Project’s ballet, jazz, and tap classes as well as classical ballet and pre-pointe classes this summer.

Please call for more information.

If you have a family who loves music, comedy, and surprise endings, then the famous comedy musical, Little Shop of Horrors, will entertain your family this July 10 – 13 on the historic Soo Theatre Project stage.

Enjoy the instantly recognizable Little Shop of Horrors songs and discover how the mysterious plant satisfies its hunger as well as create a family memory that’ll last a lifetime.

If you have an elementary aged child who sails a tall ship, looks for treasure, plays with a sword, and says, “Arrrggh,” then immediately enroll your child in one of the How To Be A Pirate camps this summer!

Many opportunities to suit your schedule.

At STP: July 14-18 with a performance July 18 at 2 p.m., and at the PAL in Pickford: July 7-11 with a performance July 11 at 2 p.m.

If you have a child who suddenly stops when Celine Dion, Aretha Franklin, or Andrea Bocelli sing, allow your budding opera singer to develop commanding stage presence, correct vocal technique, and positive self-confidence with the Vocal/Opera camp July 21-25 for students from 10 years old to adult.

This camp has multiple performances: a Vocal Gala on July 25 at 7 p.m. and all the STP productions of Carmen on August 6, 8, and 10.

If you have a pre-school child who often asks for crayons, markers, glue, paint, and glitter, then the Pre-School Music, Art, and Play camp is a must-do!

This camp runs July 28 – 31 with a showcase presentation on July 31 at 11:30 a.m. (Showcase = a grand celebration when mom, dad, aunts, uncles, grandparents, siblings, and friends view the week’s creations with lots of “Ooooohs!” “Woooowwwws!” and “Amaaaazzzings!”)

If you have an elementary aged child who can always be found in the art and craft section of any store, then the Arts Exploration camp is a guaranteed match!

This camp runs from July 28 to August 1 with a showcase presentation August 1 at 1 p.m. (For explanation of the showcase, see previous paragraph.)

The only way to have these meaningful and significant experiences is to call the STP office at (906) 632-1930, visit the STP website, or walk through the STP office door at 534 Ashmun Street [in Sault Michigan] to speak with Chrissy Johnston, STP’s friendly and knowledgeable office assistant.
