NEWS RELEASE
SHADOWS OF THE MIND FILM FESTIVAL
************************
The 19th annual Shadows of the Mind Film Festival is set to run Feb. 26 to March 4, 2018 in Sault Ste. Marie, and while the full schedule will not be released until the new year, two movies filmed in the Sault – Pyewacket and Prodigals – are confirmed for the lineup. Pyewacket, a psychological horror, premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival to great reviews. The drama, Prodigals, is based on a stage play set in the Sault written by former Saultite, Sean Minogue.

Shadows Film Festival traditionally offers 20 to 23 screenings over six days featuring Oscar buzz and critically acclaimed films and documentaries from around the world. This is the first year the volunteer committee has taken the plunge into online ticket sales. Right now the long standing five movie pack voucher is being offered through Eventbrite at a special discounted price. Movie tickets will become available when the box office opens in the Station Mall Feb. 13, 2018. Gold passes will not be available online.

The committee is also pleased to announce the Shadows Gala will be held at The Tech on Tuesday, Feb. 27. Movie buffs are encouraged to keep checking the Shadows website for updates.
