Fan of felines? 'Cats' opens tonight at Community Theatre Centre (11 photos)

Musical Comedy Guild production runs through to December 7

With music composed by Andrew Lloyd Webber based on T.S. Elliot’s Old Possum’s Book of Practical Cats, the Musical Comedy Guild presents Cats at the Sault Community Theatre Centre. The production opens this evening at 8 p.m. and runs through to Dec. 7.

Featured felines include Robb Fisher as Old Deuteronomy, Jeannine Jefferson as Munkustrap, Steven Skeggs as Rum Tum Tugger, Christina Speers as Grizabella, Mitchel Hopf as Mr. Mistoffelees, Carly Lukkonen as Victoria, John Fleming as Gus, Mike Poluk as Skimbleshanks, and Skye Smith as Bombalurina.

Other Cats cast members include Emma Dingle (Demeter), Hailey Hayes (Jellylorum), Carys Hernden (Jemina), Tanner Boyle (Mungo Jerrie), Kara Colynuck (Rumpleteazer), Lauren Kinney (Jennyanydots), John Dedes (Bustopher Jones), and Isaac Withers (Growl Tiger) are the core of the featured feline cast.

The ensemble players are Celeste Bond, Andrew Brienesse, Katelyn Brienesse, Aeva Goodship, Avery Hemsworth, Amanda Johnson, Maria Kahtava, Melissa Kahtava, Kyla Robinson, Jared Vecchio and Penny Gribbon.

The production is directed and choreographed by Lucas Beaver with musical direction by Rony Dal Cin.
