The Algoma Fish and Game Club invites local kids for a free day of activities at the third Annual Fall Kids Fishing Day.

Participants will learn how to fish, shoot a bow and explore compass orientation.

The event kicks off at Kinsman Park Pond on Oct. 2 from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

For more information, read the news release below:

The Algoma Fish and Game Club invites future outdoor enthusiasts (14+ under) to join us for a free day of activities at Kinsman Park Pond on Sunday, Oct. 2, from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Bring your parent or guardian to register you onsite and get lots of pictures while you learn to fish (you can choose to release your catch or take it home for dinner) or while you learn about archery from our friends at Sault North Archery Club. Sault Search and Rescue will be teaching compass orientation, and the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry will help you learn about conservation.

All of the equipment will be available for use at the event, so you don't need to pack anything. There will even be food available for purchase.

Parking will be limited at the pond for accessibility purposes only, so please get your family to park at the top of the hill and enjoy a nice hike down to the pond.

We've attached our poster for more details - please share it with anyone who might want to become a passionate outdoors person! We can't wait to see you all there.
