A little history of this amazing event:

The Festival of India in Thunder Bay was started by Dr. Prashant Jani and Mrs. Sneha Jani in 2006. In 2009 they established a nonprofit organization – Vedic Cultural Centre in Thunder Bay.

Currently the festival is organized by all the volunteers of Vedic Cultural Centre. Jani family decided to organize the Festival as it is a way to gain an insight into the culture of India. It is a chance to showcase what he calls 'The Emerging Northwestern Ontario' giving our community an opportunity to learn, embrace and grow respect for new people, cultures and ideas.
