Acclaimed Canadian singer/songwriter Alex Mason will take on the issue of mental health when he performs in Sault Ste. Marie for the first time on Nov. 9.

The Ghost of the Great Lakes is the acclaimed album he released last year. This concert is a Great Lakes Odyssey show from the National Public Radio series that explores the arts, science and mystery of the Great Lakes.

Alex Mason is an emerging Canadian singer/songwriter appearing in Sault Ste. Marie for the first time. Last year the Toronto-based artist released Ghost of the Great Lakes, to critical acclaim. Mason is recently returned from the U.K. where he played his first ever overseas concert. Personal accounts of Alex’s own experience, Mason's songs tackle the challenges of mental health.

The concert will pull gems from the Ghost of The Great Lakes album and from Mason's previous two releases, Jasper, and Salt and The Sea. Mason is currently working on a new album set to release in early 2025. This concert is a Great Lakes Odyssey presentation, from the producers of the NPR (National Public Radio) series that explores the arts, science and mystery that the Great Lakes forever pulls on.

On Saturday, Nov. 9, Mason plays the Art Hub At Spring, downtown 504 Queen St. Doors open at 6 p.m. and showtime is 7 p.m.

Kat's Eye View, the sensational Toronto themed art exhibition by the Sault's Kathleen McGuire, is currently showing at the gallery space. Saturday evening will be the last opportunity to see it. Advance tickets are available at Stone's Office, 529 Queen St., or at the door, and price is $20 with all fees and tax included. Snacks and beverages will be served.
