Don your Lederhosen and raise a glass this weekend at Oktoberfest

Loplops Gallery-Lounge, in partnership with the Canadian Bushplane Heritage Centre and Northern Superior Brewing Company, presents the fifth edition of the SSM Oktoberfest. This year’s festival will take place on Saturday, Oct. 5, 2019 from 12-7 p.m.

The organizers of the SSM Oktoberfest are very excited to be bringing in Midnight Echo as the musical entertainment this year. Hailing from Whitby, Ont., this alternative rock band fuses the hook-laden anthems of the early 2000s with the synth-driven tones of 80s new wave to create their own unique and atmospheric sound.

Oktoberfest has become popular over the last few years to bring games and cards to play with friends throughout the day. You are encouraged to bring your favourite games and meet some new friends.

As an Oktoberfest tradition, beer will be local and supplied by Northern Superior Brewing Company. J. Caroline’s and East Street Pizza will be the providing amazing food throughout the day.

Important to note for this year’s event: the souvenir Oktoberfest mug will not be part of the ticket price this year. Organizers are encouraging those that have attended in years past to bring their Oktoberfest mugs. For those that have not attended or are in need of an Oktoberfest mug, glasses will be sold on site. A brand new 16oz Oktoberfest glass is also available for those collectors out there.

Break out your Dirndl and Lederhosen, dust off your steins and make sure you grab your tickets early at J. Caroline’s, the Canadian Bushplane Heritage Centre, Northern Superior Brewing Company, Loplops Gallery-Lounge or online.

You must be 19 years or older to attend. Please drink responsibly and have a designated driver.
