NEWS RELEASE
SAULT CONCERT BAND
************************
The newly formed Sault Concert Band will present their first concert on Tuesday, June 12. The ensemble brings together the best woodwind, brass and percussion players in the city for an evening of wonderful music. This accomplished group, under the able direction of Ed Dickey, is a welcome addition to the musical life of Sault Ste. Marie.

The program features an incredible variety of exciting selections including the best of Henry Mancici, a John Williams spectacular, Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen, a medley of classic swing standards, as well as a couple of Spanish flavoured works.

Joining the band will also be the beginner group from the Algoma Conservatory’s New Horizons Band program. This class allows adults to come back to playing a band instrument they studied in high school, or learn an instrument for the very first time.

The concert takes place at Korah C&VS on Tuesday, June 12, beginning at 7:30 p.m. Admission is only $2 with a canned donation to the St. Vincent Place foodbank. Tickets are available at the door.
