Chamber Singers of Algoma return to the chancel (7 photos)

The choir’s Christmas show was their first live performance in three years, where they provided festive and soothing music for dozens of families at Precious Blood Cathedral on Sunday

It had been three years since their last in-person performance, and on Sunday, they certainly didn’t disappoint.

Choristers with the Chamber Singers of Algoma excitedly returned to Precious Blood Cathedral in front of dozens of families this afternoon with a Christmas show.

Directed by Patty Gartshore, the choir’s performance featured several new pieces of music, as well as soloists like Christine Horst, Juliana Regan, Louisa McGlashan, Stephen Gagnon-Ruscio and Mister Tahti.

Every now and then, the choir invited the audience to jump in and sing along with some familiar and classic Christmas carols.

The Chamber Singers of Algoma have been soothing audiences since 1985 and is comprised of choristers from both sides of the Canada–U.S. border.
