The Old Town Hall Concert Series in beautiful Hilton Beach, Ontario has been attracting high-calibre musicians to the area for many years. Tonight, Wednesday, August 11, 2004, the series will be presenting violinist, Moshe Hammer with Marc Widner.

Moshe Hammer is one of Canada's most sought-after violinists for solo, concerto and chamber appearances. His career has taken him across North America, Israel, and Western Europe. His live recital broadcasts and recordings have brought him before an ever-growing audience. He remains a mainstay of arts programming for Canada's CBC, NPR and throughout European radio.

Since arriving in Canada from Israel, Moshe Hammer has performed with most major symphonies and concert venues across the country. As a chamber musician of the highest order, Hammer is recognized as bringing the same vitality and artistry to his chamber appearances as he has to his solo performances.

The concert series, which has been rapidly growing in popularity, very quickly outgrew its orignal location, the Old Town Hall and now takes place at the Hilton Beach Community Hall, a venue with a seating capacity of 300.
