Canada Day party full of fun and fireworks (23 photos, video)

The Roberta Bondar Pavilion was filled with a sea of red and orange as locals came together to honour the occasion

Thousands of residents made their way down to the Roberta Bondar Pavilion Friday to celebrate Canada’s 155th birthday.

The party kicked off at 2 p.m. as locals enjoyed a variety of activities like face painting, balloon animals, yard games, live music, and boat tours on the HMCS Oriole.

Several food vendors were also on location providing lots of treats and refreshments.

Once dusk settled in, Saultites gathered along the boardwalk to take in a spectacular fireworks display, signalling the end of a successful Canada Day.
