Calling all artsy youth! Advisory Council wants to see your talent

The Sault Ste. Marie Mayor’s Youth Advisory Council (MYAC) is seeking submissions for the fourth annual MYAC Youth Art Gala to be held on Saturday, March 2. MYAC is looking for submissions of visual art, photography and short-films by local artists between the ages of 13 and 25. People interested in making a submission can contact [email protected]. The deadline for submissions is Feb. 22.

“The gala is a fantastic opportunity for young artists in our community to showcase their talents and gain valuable experience,” said Rob Sandvik, Chair of MYAC. “The members of MYAC are always looking for ways to create or facilitate opportunities for youth to engage in fun and interesting activities, and this event has really turned into a great way to provide young members of our community with the chance to gather and enjoy a fun evening together in celebration of talented artists.”

“I want to encourage local youth to make a submission and to participate in what will once again be a great gala,” said Mayor Christian Provenzano. “Organized by our local youth for our local youth, the gala is a result of the tremendous efforts of these young advocates who are working hard to serve our community.”
