Buskers to help celebrate 100 years of Rotary

In celebration of the Rotary Club of Sault Ste. Marie’s 100th birthday, buskers are returning to Rotaryfest, The Sault’s Summer Festival! Seven unique acts will take place at the busker pitch at Clergue Park, south of Ribfest, throughout Thursday, July 19 to Saturday, July 21. Buskers will also be strolling through the festival and performing for onlookers. All of the buskers will be entertaining crowds as they wait for the start of the 97th Rotary Community Day Parade presented by Brookfield this Saturday.

The seven acts are:

Sam Latourneau - Sam is a professional circus/fire performer whose repertoire includes stilt-walking, juggling, fire, comedy and circus tricks!

Marianne Trenka - Marianne is a Montreal based, circus/variety performer that presents hula hoop performances, digital poi, Weggsphere, stilt-walking, acrobatics and more in both LED and fire. She has traveled the world with her shows.

Friederik Geersten - Friederik specializes in juggling, acrobatics, comedy and character animation. He has taught, performed and provided entertainment for audiences of all ages.

AllezUp Circus - AllezUp Circus are a professional, hand to hand circus duo from Montreal that brings a playful and fun dynamic to all of their presentations. The AllezUp Circus show is a non-stop, 45-minute long blend of juggling, comedy, hula-hoops, acrobatics and hand to hand balancing.

Jon the Cowguy - With over 15 years experience in front of audiences, Jon The Cowguy knows how to deliver hilarious family oriented shows. In each performance, the audience is treated to amazing circus stunts, juggling, mini-bicycle riding and plenty of audience participation blended with hilarious improvised and rehearsed banter.

Brian Wilson the Cowguy - With over 25 years experience in front of audiences, Bri The Cowguy delivers hilarious, fast paced live shows. With each performance the audience is treated to amazing circus style stunts, yo-yo tricks, audience participation and magic, all blended with comedy that ranges from sarcastic to silly.

Jon and Brian, the Cowguys - In their award winning show, Brian and Jon expertly blend circus, western and magic skills with dexterity, wit, danger, and stupidity. The show features a barrage of tricks laced with continuous patter between themselves and the audience. They create a non-stop roller-coaster ride of a show by expertly meshing a high level of technical skill with hilarious banter.

Rotaryfest, The Sault’s Summer Festival will be taking place in Clergue Park July 19 to 21.
