T’is the season for giving and the Sault Blues Society is pleased once again to present its Blues For Food fundraiser on Dec. 10 in support of the Sault Ste. Marie Soup Kitchen Community Centre.

The 7th annual event will feature local talents Five Below Zero, Shirley Kominos Val Powley, Marisa Valois, Paule DellaVedova, Rusty McCarthy, Stuart Bolduc, Al Davis, Peter Cooper, Keith Conway and Warren Reville.

“It is a great fundraising blues event for the Sault’s Soup Kitchen and the Sault blues Society is very pleased to assist in collecting the cash and non perishable food items at the door,” said Sault Blues Society president Johnnie Tibbles. “Rusty McCarthy deserves many kudos for all the time and effort that he has put into organizing and executing Blues for Food for the past seven continuous years.”

Blues For Food will be hosted at the Water Tower Pub on Saturday, Dec. 10 from 9 p.m. until midnight.

There is no cost to attend, however, donations of non-perishable food items and cash will be accepted at the door.

All donations will go to assist the Soup Kitchen and its initiative to keep Sault families in need happy, healthy and fed this holiday season.
