Bluegrass growing wild in the Sault

With the recent success of the Chapmans bluegrass concert this past week, we are pleased to announce that The Flint River Boys from Alabama, USA. will be coming to the Sault for a special concert and jam session.

With the recent success of the Chapmans bluegrass concert this past week, we are pleased to announce that The Flint River Boys from Alabama, USA. will be coming to the Sault for a special concert and jam session.

Stephen Helton and the Flint River Boys will be performing at the Verdi Hall (455 Queen Street W.) on Sunday April 24th, 2005. Although the concert starts at 7:00 pm, the boys will be hosting an open jam session at 3:00 pm for musicians who have purchased a ticket.

The band consists of Stephen Helton (Mandolin, Dobro), Ethridge Scott (Banjo, Guitar), Alan Helton (Upright Bass), Glenn Marsh (Fiddle), and Steve Smiley (Banjo).

Tickets for the event are $15.00 in advance and $18.00 at the door. Food will be available. Cash Bar. For more information or tickets, call Duffy Schryer at 949-8674.

Local bluegrass outfit, Rush Mountain will be opening the show.
