Ever wonder what's on the radar with music in Sault Ste. Marie?

SooToday.com is going to tease you and please you with Soo Music Radar.

Just click the SooMusicRadar link and visit a cool new feature about local and visiting musicians.

While there, you can download a full song provided by the featured artist, read the artist or band's biography, find out when and where you can see them and visit their website, when available.

This week's featured artist is Chris Belsito.

Yes, the intrepid and mysterious Belsito is still alive and kicking up a storm, though he's been too busy globe trotting to play much in the Sault lately.

Rumour has it that the local music icon has joined the forces of darkness and has been spotted in various locations around western Canada and in Argentina.

What those places have in common is an even bigger mystery than events leading up to Belsito's disappearance a few months ago.

Before going underground, the ever-popular target of satire was kind enough to provide SooToday.com with SooMusicRadar fodder and so we're here to tell you that he is making a rare, full-band appearance at Loplop Lounge and Gallery on Thursday, December 22.

If you haven't had a chance to hear Belsito's latest offering, Fade Dissolve, this is your golden opportunity to hear and/or download one of our favorite tracks Growing Up In The Universe before Belsito furls his cloak and disappears in the universe again.

After listening to Growing up in the Universe go visit his website and tell him what you think of it.

If you like it, say you found it on SooToday.com's nifty new feature SooMusicRadar.

If you don't like it, we never heard of you.

And, if you'd like us to feature you or your band on SooMusicRadar, or if you have any other arts and entertainment event or story to tell us about, contact us at [email protected]
