How did your pumpkin grow? The 7th annual Pumpkin Festival sponsored by Rector Machine Works, BuyWise Energy Consultants Inc. and Pino’s will take place on Saturday, Oct. 5, 2019 at the Roberta Bondar Pavilion from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. 

The Algoma Farmers’ Market will be partnering with the Sault Ste. Marie Public Library and the City of Sault Ste. Marie to host the annual Pumpkin Weigh-Off.  

Enter your potentially award-winning giant pumpkin for everyone to admire. Please have your pumpkins on site by 11 a.m. The pumpkin weigh-off will begin at 12 p.m. Prizes will be awarded for first, second and third place. 

  • Family story time and crafts will be offered from 10 – 11:30 a.m.
  • Live music from Victoria Jones
  • Canned food drive, donations are appreciated and will support the Salvation Army and Pauline’s Place
  • Face-painting and more
