The Algoma – Solemn Land Sault book launch is taking place Dec 8 at 6:30 p.m. with the entire community on the guest list.

The event takes place for free at Sault’s downtown gallery space, Art Hub at Spring. Refreshments will be served.

This uniquely solemn land collection of more than 60 images depicts the Lake Superior - Montreal River region in its full Autumn splendour.

Gary McGuffin led seven accomplished Canadian landscape artists into the same spaces made famous by the Group of Seven 100 years ago. The results are remarkable, a news release states.

Other fine Tagona books, including its North American publishing award-winning Prince Edward – A Four Season County, will also be available for sale. Books can be pre-ordered through the Tagona Press website www.tagonapress.com, and they are pleased to inscribe your book anyway you might like.

Tagona is proud to support the Lake Superior Watershed Conservancy. A portion of the Solemn Land proceeds will be donated to help the conservancy with its ongoing works
