Alberta House to host reception for annual art exhibit

SAULT STE MARIE, MICH. - “Essential”, the Olive Craig Gallery’s big Annual Show, open to all area artists, is now in place in Alberta House Arts Center. The show’s reception and awards ceremony is Sunday, June 9, from 2 to 4 p.m. and Tom Marshall, the show’s judge, will be handing out awards at 3 p.m.   

Awards are three hundred dollars to the First Place winner, two hundred dollars to the Second Place winner and one hundred dollars to the Third Place winner. 

A number of Honorable Mention gift certificates will be awarded as well. The public is cordially invited to attend the reception, enjoy refreshments and meet the artists and gallery personal.

The Annual Exhibit will be in place, through Saturday, June 29. Regular hours in Alberta House are Tuesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and admission is free of charge. 

Alberta House Arts Center is located at 217 Ferris Street, just half a block south of the Soo Locks Visitors Center.
