Too many Sault citizens have died from Fentanyl poisoning.

Even one more death is way too much.

Q/ How can we citizens help our emergency first-responders, front-line healthcare and social service workers, and our political leaders stop these deaths from happening?

A/ Show up at City Hall in huge numbers on April 15th after 4:30 to be seen, if not heard.

This Monday, April 15 our Mayor and Council will be requesting that our MPP and the Ford Government immediately give our Sault Area Hospital enough money to fund a Level III Addiction Treatment Centre.

Our Mayor and Council have asked for this vital health facility that will go a long way towards eliminating Fentanyl deaths in our community several times before.

They've just never had visible citizen support.

This time they need help from all of us citizens, and especially from those of us who care about eliminating these tragic deaths.

Mayor Provenzano asked for citizen help at the Ward 2 citizen meeting at the Soup Kitchen about this topic, and Heather, a 10-year drug free, gainfully employed citizen who had recently attended the devastatingly sad funeral of a child of a friend of hers and I said we will do anything in our power to help these senseless deaths stop.

Mayor Provenzano responded to our offer of help by saying that if citizens wanted to do something simple and effective to help stop these tragic deaths that as many citizens as possible should, "Fill the Council Chamber at the Monday, April 15 meeting of City Council".

The City Council meeting starts on Monday at 4:30 p.m. at City Hall, but showing up any time after that will be just fine.

Our City Hall needs to be overflowing with citizens to let Premier Ford know we are serious about stopping these deaths in our community.

My wife, son and I, and as many family and friends as we can get to come will be at City Hall.

Will you be there?

Of course you will. These needless deaths are the most important issue in our city.

And get as many people as you know to show up with you at City Hall anytime after 4:30 p.m. on Mondaym April 15.

The request for this vital Health Facility will likely come after 5:30 p.m. so don't worry if you and your friends and family are a little late.

The more everyday citizens the better.

Showing up at City Hall is extremely important.

Every life has tremendous value.

They dying must stop.
