Today I wish to be a child, I would love to be with my sisters, Mom and Dad, camping aside a hidden dirt road in the middle of nowhere. I would like to be a dirty little kid, hair disheveled, smelling of campfire, having residual marshmallow stuck to my cheek from the night before, be loaded with bug bites, scrapes and bruises and be dancing to a Waylon Jennings tune with dirt between my toes. Supper would be fish and beans cooked on a campfire. We would be heading out soon for an evening fish, getting to the lake will be an adventure in itself (either a 6km walk through the bush or jumping beaver dams at mock speed). I would be in my happy place.

Today it has been two painful years without you Dad. It is easy to celebrate your life as putting it into words would be a best seller. You were and are a hero to many. Thank you being bigger than life to me. Miss you with all my heart, Cindy. Xoxo
